I pretty much visit Woolworths every day. Yes, you read that correctly every single day. Most sane people would do a mass weekly grocery shop with a few quick visits in between to top up on staples like bread, milk and chocolate but there are a couple of reasons why I don't do that. One being that I only live 3 minutes from our local shopping complex and another being that I am incapable of planning out our meals for the week in advance - I will just never be that organised. So after visiting my local Woolies on a daily basis for the past several years I pretty much know my way around the place and can be in and out like lightning. But do you know what they went and did?
Yeah, the 'C' word. They changed it, rearranged the whole freaking store. There are now big signs around the place stating that 'you asked and we listened'. So who's 'You'? It's not me, nope, I vote that you put it all back where you found it - so I can find stuff. I go in there now and I need a Navman to tell me where everything is. The first few days they had extra staff on approaching dazed and confused customers and asking if they could help them find something. Well here, how about I just give you my shopping list and meet you at the checkout when you're done? Today I swear I did multiple laps of the place and ended up leaving a few items short because they were not where they should be - or anywhere at all so it seemed. It's ok though, the BWS that is attached to the store still remains, no changes there so I knew exactly where to find the wine.
So are these changes happening in Woolworths stores everywhere? Or am I being punished for the odd occasion that I visit a Coles store when I need something that Woolies doesn't have?
